Turner Hydraulics, Inc. and CFC (Certified Fluid Consultants) Industrial Training LLC are excited to announce the recent acquisition of CFC which brings them under the Turner Family of Companies.

Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1990, by Bob Sheaf, Certified Fluid Consultants (CFC), began as a consulting firm working with Midwest U.S. industrial companies. In late 1999, CFC acquired Solar Comp, a computer training and consulting firm and was renamed CFC-Solar, Inc.

In 2013, CFC launched CFC Industrial Training to provide a multifaceted approach to training, consulting, engineering, and learning management and featured groundbreaking products such as the Interactive Technical Manual.

Over the last 33 years, CFC has grown to be the leading fluid power training and consulting company throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Now, doing business as CFC Industrial Training LLC and upon Bob’s retirement, the company has changed ownership to Janet Sheaf Turner, CEO, along with her sister, Ruth Hoffman, CFO, and Jon Rhodes, President. Janet is the wife of Dan Turner, Owner and President of Turner Hydraulics, Inc.

“For the last 33 years, my father Bob Sheaf has poured his heart and soul into CFC Solar Industrial Training. His tireless efforts and dedication grew the company from its humble beginnings to a highly respected company and treasured resource in the fluid power industry.  We are excited today to announce the next generation of leadership. I am honored to have the opportunity to be the Chief Executive Officer and to work alongside my sister Ruth as we continue his legacy.  I ask that you join us in wishing my father congratulations on a well-deserved retirement,” says Janet Turner.

Dan Turner adds, “I’ve known Bob and CFC for many years and have utilized his expertise to gain a better understanding of fluid power.  I sat in many classes that were taught by Bob and have gotten all of my IFPS certifications as a result of classes that he taught.  I am in awe that we have been able to gain Bob’s approval to carry on this valued resource to the fluid power industry.  I am a bit nervous to be part of a company with such high standards and expectations, though I am excited to be able to use much of Bob’s mentorship as I now join the ranks as a CFC Instructor.  And, hopefully, having my wife as my boss won’t be too bad!”
