Dan is the owner and President of the Turner Companies. He started working part-time with his father, founder of Turner Hydraulics, during a college break. After going on a trip to a fluid power manufacturer with his father, he found his true passion in combining his college learning with working in fluid power. In the early 1980s, he joined the company full-time.

As Dan continued to work with his father and grow the business, he started Dan’s Hose & Fittings, and took night classes in machining, electrical, welding and fluid power. In 1993, upon his parents’ retirement, Dan bought Turner Hydraulics and in 1996 started TASCorp, the automation arm of Turner.

Dan is a past President and current board member of the Equipment Service Association (ESA). He holds several IFPS certifications as well as is an Accredited Instructor for the IFPS. He has taught courses for the local community college, trade schools, PA Dept. of Agriculture, and the PSU ASME Chapter.
